"everyone should work 80 hrs a week, or they're lazy" no they shouldn't. human beings are not slaves that you can command around like automatons. we're not numbers on a screen, integers in a codebase. the end goal of a society is not a higher stock price, or fatter net income margins. the goal of a society is a preservation of the culture, ideals and traditions that it holds, and the continuation of those into the future. the top 1% obsessed autist engineers, cracked founders, and narcissistic surgeons can go ahead and work 80hrs a week- sacrifice family and health for their work. have at it. the rest of society, whose goals are not making $200K in sales a year or seeing how many employee of the month awards they can stack up, should not work this much. 99% should be focused on building their health, creating families, education, and self improvement. there is a certain nobility in the common man. don't forget who fights the wars, who digs the ditches, and who carries the trash. image

More people might be willing to grind of the Government didnt steal half of what they earned every month. In Aus, the top of the tree work 27 minutes out of every 60 for the Government to blow shit on the least productive in society to perpetuate their position of power whilst gaining basically nothing back from that system. I don’t want people to have to grind like that but those who do should be rewarded rather than more being demanded of them when they’re already carrying the whole system. It is only the Gov & their parasites + the equity holders who can get around taxes, who benefit from this system. The productive class who does the actual work, whether that’s working class, blue, or white collar, are the ones getting screwed over to support the parasitism at both ends of the spectrum.
It is about exploitation via usury vs providing the value via labour. Parasite vs productive, "elite" vs people. The empire enforced system is prioritizing exploitation via usury that results in slavery via debt. This is the reality we are living in and the essense of the problem we are facing.
