There's no algorithm so you have to do all the work yourself to find interesting people to follow. It takes time. Following hashtags of topics you're interested in helps. The global feed is mostly full of shit but you do sometimes find some gems to follow. It does get better with time and effort. It gets way better than the algorithmic feeds from for-profit social media companies.
