Bath tubs were invented in the times where people didn't live past 30 so probably not.
They never lived to see the aches of old age. (Not calling you old. I'm just Dunking on how bad humanity was in the dark ages)
I feel like bathtubs were designed shortly after they figured out things could hold water. It doesn't have a seat, or secure places to put your feet, or convenient ways or room to scrub your backside. It was basically, "You know that thing the horses drink out of? Let's wash up in that thing!"
The Japanese do it best imo…search “ofuro”.
