Some of the best mobile developers I know hate “crypto” and Nostr is just for “crypto bros.” How do we shake that narrative? All the mobile dev excitement is over in Mastodon land.

If developers end up using Amethyst's code base to create additional social clients, that is absolutely fantastic. Android's client offerings are lacking. We centralize into Amethyst, because it's the most feature complete. Plebstr, Current, Plasma, etc. are all decent and usable, but the honest truth is they aren't nearly as feature rich or stable just yet. I can't wait for the day when they're all fast, stable, and most features work without a flaw. I can't wait for true choices! I do have faith that these clients will continue to improve over time though.

As someone who's been in the crypto world since 2013, it's fascinating to me how in a span of a few years it went from something that geeks and hackers were naturally drawn to, to something that's almost universally despised by fellow programmers to the point I have to keep quiet about being a fan of it… 😔
