Interesting. So when this happens the notifications don't load, but other pages on primal.net load fine?

Yes. But right now it got scared and it is working fine for both.
I had 1 relay that was not connected (red) and deleted it from the list. Not sure if that was the reason. But there are 7 others that were green.
