Its a bit weird though, shitting on Nostr. I get it if you are already tied to another protocol like atproto or activitypub; protocols compete after all. But i will just assume that is not the case with Dan. Could also be you don't care about freedom tech at all, or don't understand the issue, but that would be a bit weird for someone in Bitcoin (but could still be possible). So what is his deal? If its ''its not going to go anywhere", then i wonder at what point he came into Bitcoin, because if we roughly align Bitcoin's jan 2009 to Nostr's jan 2021, Nostr is currently halfway 2014. Bitcoin's price on 03-07-2014 was 666$, off from the 1k peak in december the year before.
