Bluetooth is way too limited in range for a countryside usage, LoRa it's much more interested for such usage but if course you can't use smartphone iron alone for that. Bitchat honestly seems more a tool useful for disposable soldiers by CIA to drive protesters in third party countries they want to capture than something really usable for mesh comms...
