It was my first time attending a Bitcoin gathering of this size, and you could really feel the strength of the community. Even though we’re in a bear market, the overall mood was optimistic and forward-looking.
I had the chance to meet many people I previously only knew through books, Nostr, YouTube, and podcasts, including Michael Saylor, Jack Mallers, Jeff Booth, BTC Sessions, Joe Nakamoto, Efrat Fenigson, and many others.
Throughout the talks, I learned a lot about topics such as the rise in wrench attacks, how UX continues to slow broader adoption, inheritance planning, Bitcoin self-custody, mining fundamentals, and how capital invested in Bitcoin is distributed across the ecosystem.
Beyond the presentations, I also had the opportunity to connect with many companies and builders, learning more about their products and the work they’re doing to advance the space.
Even though we’re still early, it’s remarkable to see how much is already being built. Meeting so many creative, passionate, and mission-driven people in person was one of the highlights of the event and reinforced my optimism for Bitcoin’s future.
