Hi David! I'm rereading your articles.
"300 thousand pubkeys, with the highest degree of separation by follows being 10 hops away."
Did you ever recalculate the amount of hops for the whole network based on grape-verified users? 10 hops seems a many ... would this be some isolated pockets of users? or pockets of bots only followed by bots?

I just realized that your Grapevine didn’t calculate correctly the first time bc of a bug that I fixed — recalculating your scores now!
It depends on your settings, including your cutoff score for 🍇-verified users. You can play with the data on the profiles page. If you use a cutoff of 0.01 (which is very permissive) using my perspective (choose “global” on the selector), you get one user 5 hops away, 1693 users 4 hops away, a whopping 81,274 users 3 hops away, with 37,790 between 0 hops (me) and 2 hops.
If you don’t filter at all but look at the entirety of your follows network, there are 234,276 users in total. About half of them have a score below 0.1. I’m sure many of them are bots, but I’m sure some are “real” users. Haven’t yet done a careful study to try to determine the breakdown but it would be interesting!
