There’s a non-negligible chance that a major bloodshed will still happen sometime during the next ten years. And that’s how the turning ‘turns’. There’s no hero generation if it isn’t forged in great personal sacrifice. I’m not yet willing to place my bet on how exactly this plays out, but I do see multiple potential scenarios.

Same. But I’m pushing hard for a peaceful revolution and transition. Besides being just a generational shift (a traditional fourth turning) I believe we are (more importantly and significantly) at a once every 500-to-1000 year shift as well, similar to the Sovereign Individual thesis.

I wonder if, outside of our little ecochamber, if this is true. I don't see any meaningful % of the population caring about either decentralization or loving freedom. It seems like we are more and more OK with handing over our power and rights to people who are temporarily aligned with our beliefs that will inevitably disappoint as power corrupts all. The mag 7 are stronger than ever and have centralized an unprecedented enormous amount of data, wealth, and power. Billions of humans walk around with a closed source iPhone or Android spy device in their pocket (even when open source mobile OS alternatives like @GrapheneOS exist). Billions use Windows and Mac spyware computers. Hundreds of millions more use Alexas, iWatches, smartTVs, and other such bullshit for minor 'conveniences' despite the fact that they give up so much personal data to these already infinitely powerful corporations. It is wonderful to preach the good word and try to onboard more people to nostr, bitcoin, and other open source alternatives but lets not be delusional and think there is any meaningful adoption of these technologies... yet.

yeah, coming from one of the poorest states in the US, Bitcoin actually looks like I have a future, for me and my children, that I might actually try to have now...

World War 3 may start country vs country. But it will end with ALL countries vs their people 💵 💴 💶 🔥

I wouldn’t rule out the “hot” interpretation of this still though.
