I wonder the same for the UK.
I went to bitchat.land used the map feature and zoomed to Tehran area… didn’t see anyone online
But it would be on the Bluetooth/mesh. Not sure you'll see that? Or maybe you would(?)

You are right, but you only need one person online to show all of the mesh… I hope some people are still online.
I would guess it gets downloaded prior to a total black out, of downloaded in intermittent uptimes, or perhaps pwople with the app can send it to someone else in person (not sure you can do that? I assume yes with an apk but doubt it is possible on apple)
