If you want to see a genuine attack against bitcoin, it won’t come in the form of a polite prunable op_return that follows consensus rules. One can argue the cheaper method of embedding data is the greater attack, but to argue either is a big attack is folly. Even the ordinals spam is no more harmful to bitcoin node resource constraints than a fully used block…so if Bitcoin being fully used is bad, then bitcoin has bigger problems than spam.
