With the commercialization of the molecule and the proliferation of easy-access dispensers, I would say itโ€™s awfully close to other pharmaceuticals. And while not as addictive or toxic, itโ€™s still a chemical commandeered and marketed to the masses.
As an avid partaker and hobby grower, I agree. But from an outside perspective with only recreational abuse not therapeutic use in mind, critics canโ€™t get past it just being another feel good group of molecules.
When I started smoking in college, I could finally relax. When high, I would naturally make eye contact and understand their facial expressions without having to be conscious about it. I smoked for just a few months, and don't anymore but that permanently made me comfortable in my own skin. I really don't struggle with social interactions anymore
