I am the target audience of this post but you are wrong. Try giving some weed to a heavily autistic guy, and you'll see the result
gives an appetite to cancer/other patients. helps with pain, nausea.
With the commercialization of the molecule and the proliferation of easy-access dispensers, I would say itโs awfully close to other pharmaceuticals. And while not as addictive or toxic, itโs still a chemical commandeered and marketed to the masses.
Odd take.

As an avid partaker and hobby grower, I agree. But from an outside perspective with only recreational abuse not therapeutic use in mind, critics canโt get past it just being another feel good group of molecules.
Curious, what happens?
When I started smoking in college, I could finally relax. When high, I would naturally make eye contact and understand their facial expressions without having to be conscious about it. I smoked for just a few months, and don't anymore but that permanently made me comfortable in my own skin. I really don't struggle with social interactions anymore
