Whenever I hear people talking about women giving up or putting their dreams on hold to care for children, I get a strong gutteral disagreeing reaction! Being a mom is amazing! It's LITERALLY a dream come TRUE! I am currently living the dream. Yes, I have other things I'd like to do as well, but I actually can do some overlap of dreams. I'm still able to work on books, even if it's a whole lot slower. I'm still able to accomplish daily dreams like going to the movies and traveling. Exactly! "You have to have a job" usually also comes out of those people's mouths. And no, actually I don't. I can work without having a job. Having a job is NOT the end all be all, or highest purpose of life.

My job does not define me as a person. Just a mechanism to mine fiat for my future.

Well done. A lot of people find their identity in their job, so if the lose it, they lose themselves. It's much better to just use it as a means to an end, and get our identity from God.
