you get 5% back by paying with bitcoin at a square merchant using cash app. even if you pay with your cash balance with cash app, you get 5% in bitcoin back. so far i've stumbled upon 2 merchants that had the bitcoin toggle on their square terminal. they weren't even on the merchant map in cash app. for neighborhoods local cash back, you just place your order and pay with the neighborhoods feature in cash app. there doesn't seem to be a way to look up neighborhoods merchants though. i only found one cause after i paid, the square terminal offered me cash back which added the merchant to my neighborhoods page in cash app. @miles 🌞 @jack wen better discovery and accept bitcoin for neighborhoods merchants?

I was horrified to see that CashApp lets the users take out microloans against their payment history. The predatory lending, over in the States, is too damned high. Even middle-class people are up to their eyeballs in consumer credit. The rising interest rates are going to crush the entire population.

keep an eye out for the bitcoin toggle on the terminal when paying. some of the merchants don't even realize they are accepting bitcoin. 😂
