That's true, but you can easily carry a smaller SWK and a Leatherman.

Never got a Leatherman, but also share the same feeling. Missing a feature or carrying too much. My way is to plan ahead the day activities. Then based on the type of activity I select what would fit better. When I don’t know, then I go with the minimum of knife, scissors and pliers. Victorinox Handyman or SOG Powerpint #edc
