The same applies to Monero.
This time not ridiculed for our confidence by fiat appilogists, but Bitcoin maxis.

How do you deal with opportunity cost when using monero as a store of value?
I relax. My time in the market makes me independent from NGU fantasies. I can wait letting the market come to the same conclusions as I did (and I know this takes time) instead of chasing gains in fiat or in BTC. I've just sold more BTC for Monero.
Monero's inflation is so low it can perfectly work as a private store of value if one trusts that well understood mathematic assumptions guarantee the detection of a potential inflation bug.
As someone who has been in a crypto tax audit, it caused a lot of PTSD. This is the letter they sent me. I haven't been able to recover from it financially or mentally. The audit went on for 3 years, question after question. I thought it would never end.

This is abuse. You need to leave the country.
Monero circular economy is where your freedom begins and this bullshit ends.
I have seen similar audits before. Your problem is interfacing with the fiat scam system. If it looks like a shitcoin, but additionally has the police enforce the shitcoin policy on you it's time to leave. One exit is leaving the country. The other one is going dark.
A private store of wealth is what most Bitcoiners not yet know is what they will seek more than the 21M limit when BTC is fully capitalised.
Thanks for sharing that.
Did you buy with KYC? Just curious
Versus fiat Monero is doing just fine. Not as well as Bitcoin, but a steady upward trend in price over the long run.
Ultimately SoV is speculation. The future is never 100% certain. If you think Bitcoins historical price trend will continue, just use Bitcoin to save long term, while having a small stack of Monero for spending (cheap, untraceable, anonymous, and private). How small that is depends how often you use it. If someone doesn't really transact with crypto, then I can understand why they might not have any use for Monero.
I reported my taxes including my crypto gains. Was punished for following the rules because i didn't report them well enough. I didn't know what i was doing.
Damn, that is ridiculous
