I'm actually all set to run my first node. But I must confess I am very confused by the whole Core vs Knots /BIP-110 discussion. Personally, I like the idea of not disrupting the purpose of the chain, and employing the necessary filters for this to happen. In the end, I'm wondering if I should wait for August to choose it to see what happens when the fork is there... Is this a too naive PoV? I'm grateful for constructive discussions. #asknostr

Not naive. I dont like spam.... but both sides got points... im also not picking sides and just wait foe it to be over basically.... not optimal, but I dont have the energy to read up on all the specs etc.
Being somehow sceptical about BIP110 is ok (though I'm not personally) but Knots vs Corey shall be obvious if for example a) you read stuff from @hodlonaut - the whole series of articles not technical (link below) and b). if you do believe in bitcoin as money not a database filled with crap + a system run by the chosen one for the chosen one only...
People here have strong opinions on the matter. Both of them have easy rethotic. I am for Bitcoin as peer to peer cash and move in that direction. August will interesting and after, Bitcoin will still be Bitcoin. If you want to run a Bitcoin node, I like the system I built - Sovran_SystemsOS. I have been using it for over 5 years. I tried to built so it is as easy as possible for newbies.
Core doesn’t have a single coherent point in this debate. They opened OP return with zero support, they deleted wallets, leaked IP in the latest update, hired incompetent devs that were sleeping with the founder of Brink (company who funds the devs) and they were even funded historically by Epstien through a cutout… plus Adam back went to his island and did who knows what. Core is literally malware. It’s a hierarchy completely captured by institutional corruption and they are spreading lies on BIP 110 because it ruins their credibility and funding.
Well, running Knots with BIP-110 puts your node on the stricter side of a potential soft fork, so it should operate correctly whether BIP-110 activates or not.
