The issue is that Reddit has such a large reach. Basically anyone I knew that held an opinion worth a damn used it. It’s going to take a while for nostr to catch up with the size of their user base, and in the later stages that was Reddit’s selling point. Realistically, Reddit is the same now as it was before the API war, the main difference was the fact that 3rd party apps gave people the interfaces and features they wanted. Yes, I understand this is like nostr, but it does remove some of the useful metrics like upvotes. Overall, I really hope we get an analogous Reddit replacement built on nostr
