Re-forresting can be quite easy.
Some dry areas in Africa are floaded during rain season and nutrients get washed away.
The simple solution is to digg halv circle holes. Then when the water comes these holes turn into little ponds, storing water and nutrients, making it possible for plants to sprout and grow again.
