screaming out a not-even-half-baked idea so i can clean my whiteboard: the new token based economy (no blockchain): - AI agents need tokens to run but in theory agents can make ROI on the token investments - ecash gives you credentials + value at the same time - you could "invest" ecash credentials to an agent instance and that instance would perform work based on that since the investment enables it to actually run - with recent l402 and llm ecash proxy advancements the investments could be potentially locked (havent actually checked if the flow works but then again i've spent 3mins thinking about it)

Most ideas I have I just want to see in the world, I don't need to (and for most don't have time to) actually implement them myself so whiteboard to nostr is better than whiteboard to ideas.md to be lost forever
i've mentioned token based economy (mainly using token instead of compute for shits and giggles) previously but reading this crystalized couple things a bit more: - capital allocation game will change significantly, instead of giving 100s of startups preseed/seed checks you just buy gpus and allocate compute time to ideas - anyone with access to cheap power and capital to build infrastructure now will be in a very advantageous position since compute is a lot more reusable than money paid out to developers - its gonna be interesting to see how much of an edge running a large frontier model vs good enough model than can run on somewhat commodity hardware (lets say $10k budget) will be, I guess small good enough model with lots of unified memory for context could get decently far - this has the potential to be an extremely centralizing force - a lot of big bitcoin miners might be underpriced given that they are perfectly set up for this (tho to be fair many are already running hybrid loads) to be continued..
