So I whipped this up using my signature #paintwithdow #cells—just good ol’ acrylics in #CMYK. That’s right, no whites. Just raw, unfiltered color chaos. My next masterpiece? We're going full-on fancy: oils, baby!
So I strut into #HobbyLobby like I’m #VanGogh with a debit card, and boom—disappointment hits me like a smudged brushstroke. Their oil paint section? A ghost town. CMYK in oils? I found yellow and black. Cyan and Magenta? Gone. Vanished. Like my art school ambitions. So what did I do? Improvised like a true pigment pirate. Grabbed a 24-color oil kit like it was a lifeline from the paint gods.
Now here’s where it gets spicy: I figured out how to scan those 24 colors into GIMP and magically conjure a colormap palette. Next step? Find a juicy public domain image and slap that palette on like I'm digitally finger-painting history. I’ve done this #colormap dance before—it’s a lot of steps, and my GIMP memory is a little... dusty. Gotta poke around until I remember where everything is.
But hey, #paintwithdow is freestyle jazz with pigments. Do it your way. Be bold. Be weird. Be #MonetIn30Minutes. Zero experience required. You can join the madness right here on #Nostr.
Now go! Splash some color on something! 🎨💥
Look, no frames, just vibes. I scanned that beast six times on a flatbed at 1200dpi—because why not give your scanner PTSD. Then I stitched it together like a digital Frankenstein using panoramic mode. All in Affinity Photo 1.0, aka the hipster #Photoshop before it sold out. Ended up with one majestic PNG the size of a minor asteroid—350MB of pure brushstroke glory.
Pro tip: slap that baby into the public domain and you can probably stash it on some free cloud like it's 2005.
