Eh, I just came across your name in my bible study. Do you find that guy admirable? Or is it what they named you? Bit of a weird story I'm gonna learn more about the roman jewish wars.

Yes, but I've also read of him being a propogandist for the Romans, and having disdain for some Jews that killed his family when they heard he joined the Romans. Nice back story though. Have you been asked before?

You would be the first to ask. As for historical Josephus’s moral compass… well, jesus was executed mostly at the behest of the Jews. I’d argue that, between Josephus, the non-Christian Jews, and the Romans, there wasn’t a fully innocent party in the lot. BUT, Josephus didnt persecute anyone. He had bigotry informed by personal grievance. He didn’t have much impact on the governance of judea except as a historian/cultural advisor, for which his input is invaluable.
