One of the beautiful things about nostr world unconferences is the possibility of discovering different places on earth, and, at the same time, coming to a location that may be closer to fellow nostriches living in other parts of the world. As you point out, it is also a way of bringing awareness to nostr, in places where it may be most likely to catch on, due to the openness and need of different solutions. I love its architecture, but I have never been there. I know the stories we hear can be binary in nature and cannot reflect the entirety of a place, nor its beauty and complexity. It is always key to have local input and to take into account possible issues in order to provide solutions.
