There are people out there who would continue talking to you even if you were replaced with a cardboard cutout. That's never made any sense to me. I think that type of person makes up a lot of people who appear on podcasts regularly.

I was just on the phone with a guy who we can never get the cadence right. One of us is always going on while the other can't wait to end the conversation. We take turns in each roll so it isn't one person who won't shut up. I think it has more to do with both of us being thorough answerers and both being like "I got it I'm bored" as soon as they have enough detail to solve our problem. So the asker is always bored at the end.
And also very familiar. On of my colleagues always says something which makes me understand the problem almost immediately or I need a single confirmation. But then keeps talking about his line of thoughts and I'm trying to jump in and explain why that's wrong and that he need to stop talking and start listening ๐Ÿ˜‚ And it's almost exclusive to remote calls. So I guess it boils down to a network lag
