Today, January 28th is World Data Privacy Day. While I think it is a subnormality to celebrate something one day a year, especially if it is imposed by government agencies, in this case, I am going to emphasize its importance. I am a toxic Bitcoin maximalist and proudly so, but before being a toxic Bitcoin maximalist, I was and am a toxic privacy maximalist. Privacy is much more important than Bitcoin, without privacy there is no freedom. I have dedicated my life to spreading privacy although I have certainly failed, privacy doesn't matter to most people or even companies. Theodore Kaczynski was always right, technology will never make us free, on the contrary, the more technology the easier we are to spy and therefore to be dominated. Although I know that the battle is lost, here are my tips: - Don't use commercial social networks like facebook, instagram etc. - Never use your real identity. - Do not use privacy invasive operating systems. - Don't use privacy invasive applications. It will do you no good to be rich in Bitcoin if the government decides for you. image
