i was just reading about it, and it says there should be an option to download the source files as a zip in a video i saw it looked like the button is in the top right corner, next to the open in new tab button

there is a preview pane on the right side for you to see what you built. if that's not showing, click the pane button to see it. you should also be able to see a share button and open in new tab button too.

Man I don't see any of that. Am I blind?

i just built a test app with gemini flash playground once all of errors were fixed, the preview pane appeared and the application is available. i can't see from your screenshot, does it show up above that all tests have passed and the build being successful?

Hmm, I guess not. It ran npm run test, which failed. The assistant then informed me the errors don't prevent the app from running, and said "I'm done with the current request." But there's no preview pane or anything.
