afaik safebox isn't a real cashu wallet (at least it hasn't been when it started)

Interesting. Can you say what qualities make a real cashu wallet or not?
It sends and receives lightning payments, offers ln addresses and pays to them, creates and receives cashu tokens. Scans qr codes, has a balance history, sends zaps via nwc and has nfc card compatibilies.
It also has extra qualities like safebox to safebox payments outside of lightning and an entire auth/ credential system.
do you store the cashu tokens in the frontend or are they on a remote server? where does the cryptography happen? if the crypto happens on the server, it's not a real cashu wallet.
Ahh, Ok thank you for those distinctions.
you also have no privacy from that server if it's not a real cashu wallet btw
mind you, I've only looked at earlier iterations, things might have changed since then.
Hey @Tim Bouma can you explain your design in reference to what Calle is saying here to help me better understand safebox?
I greatly appreciate your insights.
Proof are all stored encrypted on relays using the private key of the #safebox.
