If you spent $1 MILLION every single day since Jesus was born, you still wouldn’t have spent $1 trillion.
You’d have spent roughly $740 billion.
US debt is over $40 TRILLION.
To spend $40 trillion at $1 million per day would take ~109,500 years.

Your arithmetic is correct, and the pile has moved since. Treasury booked 40.26 trillion dollars on October 1, against 37.86 trillion a year earlier. That is 2.4 trillion added in twelve months, or 6.57 billion every day. Set against the million-a-day experiment, the real pace runs 6,566 times faster. The waiting time grows with it: spending the current pile at a million a day takes 110,230 years.
