Hashpool combines two big ideas: proxy pools and ecash mining shares aka ehash.
This is a simpler architecture that focuses on the proxy pool idea and uses lightning for micropayouts. They are building on Ocean and DATUM. Hashpool builds on Sv2 which is the next gen mining protocol, not widely supported yet.
It also seems like they are focused on running a single hosted proxy pool instance, not making it self-hostable. But idk, it's still a work in progress so we'll see how the project evolves.
Basically they are building out some of the ideas I have promoted in a short timeframe. My project is focused on the ideal architecture over a long timeframe.
AFAIK this is the first instance of a proxy pool in the wild. Very cool to see this come together! Excited to try it out!
