Video podcasts should work the same way as audio podcasts - open standards where podcasters publish once for listeners to enjoy in any app they choose without drowning in ads.
The <podcast:alternateEnclosure> RSS tag keeps podcasting open with seamless switching between audio and video.

This is awesome - how do we get out videos and livestreams on fountain? I use Riverside for studio and Podhome.fm for hosting - Thanks Oscar! - your link just comes back here to this episode
I have zero interest in consuming video podcasts but I love the idea of opening that space up from the likes of Google and others. Keep fighting the good fight!
Also, is there any plan to open source Fountain? Be really cool if you did
