I'll see you and raise you one. 😆 That's a wide mouth point jar in the picture for scale. We peeled it and put it in soup and it was dslicious, much to my surprise. I figured it'd be woody, but nope, peeling solved that. We didn't actually plant the asparagus, it was here when we mived in a decade ago, vut we are happy to benefit from a previous resident getting it established for us.
