What is the purpose of dating?
For a follower of Christ, the answer is simple.
The only purpose of dating is to find the person you intend to marry.
I will say it again:
The only reason for a Christian to go on a date it to find the person you are going to marry.
Be clear about your expectations when going on a date. Communicate these to the other person. If they are not of the same mind, then don't go. If you are not looking for a mate, don't date. The only thing that a date is designed to do is lead to greater levels of intimacy. If you have determined that the person in question is not spouse material, do not continue to date them. If the decision is made during date, cut it short if possible. There is no reason to get more intimate with a person you are not going to marry. Getting more intimate leads to activities that are forbidden to unmarried people.
Who should you marry?
There are a few criteria that should disqualify a potential mate.
• First, you must God first. Before yourself, before your family, before your • friends, before everything.
• They must be of the same faith.
• They must God first. Before themself, before their family, before their friends, before everything.
• They should agree to holding each other accountable.
• They should be chaste; not having sex, with anyone (including you).
• They should have similar political views.
• They should have similar values.
• They should desire the same thing as far as having or not having children (and the number).
• They should be a sane, sober moral, prudent person.
• They should have their finances in order.
• They should be on good terms with and honoring their parents.
• They should always act honorably and treat you with respect.
• They should be quick to listen and slow to anger.
• Again, they Must put God first.
"Do not be bound together with unbelievers; for what partnership have righteousness and lawlessness, or what fellowship has light with darkness? Or what harmony has Christ with Belial, or what has a believer in common with an unbeliever? Or what agreement has the temple of God with idols? For we are the temple of the living God; just as God said,
“I will dwell in them and walk among them;
And I will be their God, and they shall be My people.
“Therefore, come out from their midst and be separate,” says the Lord.
“And do not touch what is unclean;
And I will welcome you.
“And I will be a father to you,
And you shall be sons and daughters to Me,”
Says the Lord Almighty." "
II Corinthians 6:14-18
"This you know, my beloved brethren. But everyone must be quick to hear, slow to speak and slow to anger; "
James 1:19
Honor god in all that you do and He will bless you. Honor God with your relationships and He will bless your relationships. Honor God with all your decisions...

So are you dating dude?
I am married and have my own children. This is what I did.
I dated a I outlined above & waited to have sex until I was married.
26 years later I am still with her...
Ah yes the old tradition. We should go back to this. I think Christianity invented the no sex before marriage to encourage the workforce which makes sense.
This is how we are directed to behave by our God. If you are not trying to follow God's law then this advice will seem to have little value to you. However, research has shown that this advice leads to good outcomes in marriages and society.
By god interperted by the priests, approved by the greek politians. I do agree with it's philosophy of life we should return to it & encourage it upon people. How do we do that beaides posting?
You don't need a priest to interpret it and I don't know any Greek politicians. If you truely seek God, then you will find him. Following all the rules in the old testament of the Bible is not possible. The rules are there to show the need for a savior. Only by asking Jesus to forgive you and then trying to live as he commands will you be accepted into heaven. To love the life you are asking about requires divine empowerment and spiritual discernment. Trying to accomplish this under your own power is not sustainable.
