BOLT12 is not the panacea of privacy for LN. Is just a fancy thing pushed by few people. Is not even convenient to use. Let's be sincere, you are not gonna use for every day payments a BOLT12 offer. You are just paying a fucking LN invoice.
What should be focused more is blinded paths, that is NOT widely adopted and that is really adding more privacy. If nodes in the path do not support that feature, it is useless that your node have it activated and you are creating LN invoices with blinded path.
Well, yes, I agree with that. When I mention BOLT12, it’s because it uses blinded paths by default.
But I’m specifically referring to BOLT12 because I don’t think LND’s intentions behind BOLT12 are “sound.”
