The miseducation of the population is one of the main causes for sure. Unfortunately there are many others too. It's a deliberate indoctrination and psyop. There is an agenda at work.

I agree. Though it starts at school. For example by making children pledge their allegiance to a flag or with prayers before class or with many many other things they do with the children in public schools to teach them to obey and shut up.
