Speaking for @PUBKEY here, the reason is that we donβt want to deliver a subpar experience for Nostr. Doing livestreams is a commitment of resources for a very small team. Incorporating zap.stream into our process is more involved than just adding a stream key to our Restream account like we do with Rumble and YouTube. Nostr is highly interactive and requires attention on the chat and the zap goals, etc. while not neglecting other aspects and details of the stage event and the audience.
We want to get it right.

You don't even need restrram.io. restreaming FROM zapstream is free to as many platforms as you like. Plus there is an app out there that combines stream chats and it already supports zapstream
But yes, streaming (especially restreaming) comes with a lot of 3rd party dependencies.
I appreciate everything you did to make it happen last night. @Bassload is a great guy, and I'm grateful I got to hear him speak using zap.stream. Worth every Sat zapped.
