Proud bitcoiner dad moment: I had a parent teacher conference today... she said my first grader is reading at a third grade level and her grasp of practical application of numbers is astounding. She asked me what im doing at home. I said nothing special but I'm a bitcoiner and have been teaching the kids about money, saving, inflation and history. Also they're reading the @Tuttle Twins TV nonstop. Her jaw hit the floor and asked isnt that the libertarian homeschool stuff? I said yeah and she asked me to spell the name of the books again. Hope she doesnt get in trouble...!

I should note for the soon to be dads out there, the practical daily lessons is what moves the needle. It isn't about sitting down and cranking out a lesson. We almost never sit down to do homework aside from the bare min assigned. Anytime the opportunity arises, make it a moment you can slip in some relevant lessons to the situation you find yourselves in. View it like orange pilling your kids if that helps... give them their own wallets, lightning for 1 yr savings for a big purchase and cold storage for when theybturn 18. Give them opportunities to earn money and let them decide (with your guidance) how much goes to each wallet. Let them use fiat for immediate spending (yes they have to understand fiat is cheap and inflationary money has to be spent first). When they want to buy something, dont prevent them from it, but talk about low time preference. When they see flashy fiat things, talk about bread and circus. As much as you can, make them read things to you. Let them order from their own menu. Let them pick the movie if they can at least try to read the titles. Play video games together that require light reading. Show them the freedom and self sovereignty that being able to read will afford them. Encourage it by letting them make decisions based off of things they have to read.
