Oh no... Heard it hear first πŸ˜₯ His often-maligned solo career was appreciated by a young yours-truly... In the 90's I had a bunch of the CD re-issues of his 80's albums. "No More Tears" was the height of his powers IMHO, describing his struggles with alcoholism and road to recovery. Also, "The Ultimate Sin" is a great concept album about mutually assured nuclear annihlation. I was vaguely aware of his time on reality TV, but I guess in my Millennial snobbery, pop culture peaked in 1999 and it's all been downhill from there, so I didn't pay much attention.
