I missed the original podcast and John’s criticism of nostr. I wonder about the resource costs of nostr as a function of number users, but I have no framework for thinking about this. Also, a general observation I’ve made having been in bitcoin since July 2010: the flatter the affect and the more Asperger-y the vibe, the lower the probability of being wrong. @Luke Dashjr is a good example.
