I agree but I guess the upshot isn't just focus long-term safety in the foodchain, it might be asked why research into creating a credit system for carbon is being introduced by policymakers and multinationals, even though the same necessity to research and fund environmental policy are not shared, nor adhered to by more populous regions with carbon-intensive industrial actions. There are many other environmental approaches we could take rather than adultering the diet of livestock. Begs the question, is this policy actually sane, and serve the public interest. I suspect not.
