Excellent analysis. Excellent observation. I think the answer to your question is completely personal and I think there is no 100% correct answer. Surely ₿ it's money. But surely it's also something else as far as I'm concerned. Everyone has their own opinion but reducing ₿ to just money seems very reductive to me 🤷‍♂️ nevent1qqsdm5n5dm9ljfvfd5ppvjvht2q6xs6cf0wv2fdsec9s6akenaq2yds5et3wq

What else would you say it is? To me it is money. And only money. Help me see it from your side. I'm curious as to what I may or may not be missing.
We are here to fix the money only. Bitcoin is the new triple entry ledger system designed to replace double entry accounting. It is purely a settlement system with pow behind it. I can't see ordinals, runes, inscriptions etc anywhere as part of that? If they are also on another Blockchain, then what use is it to Bitcoin or the world? Using non-transaction data in a block as transaction data is trying to circumvent the protocol. This is clear as day.

Got you. I was hoping you wouldn't say a cool new technology, an exciting software project, a great way to store monkey jpgs.... I see exactly where you are coming from. I'm with you.
Dude money is the most important thing for humans. For my 8B humans. That is not reductive at all. You are missing the priorities. 99.99999999% don't give a fuck about jpegs on the blockchain but they all give a fuck about their money. Wake up
Interesting conversation in the thread.

Philosophizing about what Bitcoin is doesn't change the fact that it is just code at the base level. The code has rules about what can and can't go into blocks. That, combined with the permissionless way it functions, means that people are going to use it however they want within those rules. So people can campaign all they want to try to change hearts and minds about "what Bitcoin is", but none of that will change the code. Code doesn't care about philosophy, it cares about technicalities, so imo the technical arguments hold much more weight.
