Agreed, I can’t believe qubes 4.3 still has it as the default. Are you going with librewolf?
Why now? If anything I see it consistently getting better.
I tried deinstalling and deinstalling it, but it regularly freezes up. I don't know why.

Something went horribly wrong with that browser and everyone I know is shitcanning it.
I think the Chrome team got someone in on the staff who suggested idealistic insanity until they wrecked the codebase.
I'm using Hanlon's razor.
I think "let's rewrite in rust" is almost always a horrible idea. It's like reinstalling a server if it does not work. Feels clean, but you waste lots of time for purity. Fixing bugs is hard work.
But it's a huge code base so what do I know.
I don't think it's sabotage from Chrome team, Google needs Firefox because of as antitrust/ anti monopoly.
I think it's just not interesting enough for devs and to be fair, both chromium and webkit based browsers are good.
No. That is also Firefox. I'm WebKit based now. Did not settle on a particular browser yet. Trying them out.

Yeah, I was using Firefox for Nostr because I like nos2x-fox for signing, but I can switch to using Amber or something.

Qubes does not have a default browser. These are default browsers Debian and Fedora VM. in Whonix VM default browser is tor. in Kicksecure template you set the default browsers yourself (browser choice).
it's the same as installing a Debian VM on Secureblue and saying that firefox-esr is the default browser in Secureblue😄
