I think it is, I use a client (RelayTools-android) that only connects to one relay at a time for it's feed, so I can use less data, check my notifications, and have a quicker app. Then it connects to other relays only when I'm posting, to send the post. If apps support this type of mode, it can be helpful yes. I think amethyst might partially support it. It's like having a fast cache of the notes from your network, always collecting them in the background for when you want to read them.

Ah so this is also good to save battery and bandwidth? I could connect this relay to Nostur and just use the one to read data from my “constructed outbox from relay tools”. Can I also write to this relay?
