The feeling of following what you do is a mixture of optimism because of all of the teaching and dread because it shows how much ground a newcomer has to cover.
Follow permaculture ethics and principles as your guide and take one step at a time. I don't try to fast track it, just keep designing and refining systems to suit my situation and aptitudes.
Rabbits ate my cannabis plant to death image It's a risky way to grow cannabis amongst dozens of hungry rabbits and every year since we've been growing both together we always lose a few plants to the rabbits. The smallest kits end up digging under the cage and girdling the plant or the largest can reach over the top and prune it down to a stump (I still have hope this plant will recover). image With no chance of growing any further, I pulled the plant and fed it to the rabbits. They certainly enjoyed the treat. Even though we are down one plant now, there is an over achiever in the garden making up for the loss. image #permaculture #permies #homesteading #grownostr #selfsovereignty #meshtadel #weedstr #weed #cannabis #marijuana #rabbit #rabbitcolony #garden #gardening View quoted note →
Still plenty of rabbits left to harvest in the rabbit colony cannabis garden. image Simple tools and quick processing time is one of the many reasons I prefer rabbits over chickens. image They take just about any vegetation and turn it into meat. The organs tell the tale of a healthy diet too. image This one was a little smaller than I would have liked. Must have been extra fluffy and looked bigger than he was. image Been catching them with a net now instead of trapping so we can get exactly the ones we're after. image #permaculture #permies #homesteading #grownostr #meshtadel #selfsovereignty #rabbit #meat #rabbitcolony View quoted note →
