Amethyst has quote boost displayed as root notes rather than as replies. This behaviour makes more sense to me. All you quote updates display as new notes with the quoted note at the end. This is how the note is structured in the event. It's just text content with a reference to another note at the end.

Oh that's not good, I think lots of users are creating notes in the quote structure similar to what I use. In amethyst the quote reply is a selection of the boost feature. @jb55 is there a intentional reason the quoted notes don't show up in the main feed on damus?

It's a note that should stand by itself & has a reference to another note in it.
