there is a wave of shitcoinery coming to bitcoin like you guys have never seen. yeah, taproot means 'contract' addresses which are 'tweaked' to create new outputs. i don't get how that works yet, to be honest, only how to implement them. the receiver has to generate them, and give them to the sender. they probably have more use in confusing the ledger than anything else so it's not all bad.

'shitcoiners are bad' said no miner ever. lightning lifts most of the payments load off chain without actually going off chain, really, and the miners are going to get more fees, which is gonna matter a lot more after next april. just be ready with your mute button is all. and hopefully by then all the nostr clients have smarter filtering systems that reduce cognitive burden.
