Gonna say something some people won't like. I don't think the Charlie Kirk was some big conspiracy at work by the big power players. They had to know the kind of outrage it would engender if they did this. No, this was a 15 minute of Famer. Maybe there was more than one person involved, but it wasn't the movers and shakers. An easy shot, from a good vantage spot, with minimal security, and an easy escape route. ANYONE could have done this with minimal training. Anyone could have been targeted. You are not safe. I am not safe, Nobody is safe. We don't live in a safe world. Charlie KNEW he was a target and had been for years. He KNEW and still got out there and stood his ground. If it wasn't Charlie then it would have been someone else. This was coming for a long time. You can only heat the pot for so long before it starts to boil. Courage is not the lack of fear. Only the fool has no fear. Courage is acknowledging your fear and continuing anyway. Courage is walking out in front of people who may wish you harm and doing what you believe is right, even though you know it may cost you your life. Charlie was one of the best of us. His convictions were strong and his faith gave him the strength to be courageous. Now he is in the best of company and receiving his reward. He ran the good race and fought the good fight. I have no doubt that he heard those most sought after words: "Well done, good and faithful servant!" "Almighty and ever-living God, who shepherds Your people through the valley of the shadow of death, we commend to Your mercy this fallen warrior. Grant him eternal rest in Your presence, where there is no more sorrow or strife. As he fought bravely in the battles of this world, may he now find peace in Your heavenly kingdom, clothed in the light of Christ, who is the resurrection and the life. Comfort those who mourn him and strengthen them in hope. Renew within them their faith and strengthen their resolve to continue the fight that claimed the life of Your child.
