Is the idea that the default private message in Amethyst will be based on Marmot? How will that play if you also have White Noise installed. I understand that Marmot doesn't have mukti device support...
Not sure which will be default. If one user has White Noise, the other has Amethyst, then they can send messages to each other. If at the moment the same nsec logs in to multiple clients, things will probably start to break... We're working on multi device now, should take a couple two weeks.
Maybe this feature should come with a feature flag / toggle to prevent users with installed White noise from having issues. At least until the multi device is fixed.
So did @Vitor Pamplona ('s agent) implement this or were you involved in this, too? Does that turn Amethyst into a Whitenoise client in a way that I can delete Whitenoise now? I never used Whitenoise and use Amethyst a lot. How would I know that the other party also talks MLS? Anyway, @Amethyst is the best client and I wish I had it here on my desktop. Hmm, ... should I run an android emulator for it? ๐Ÿค”
Vitor vibed it. It turns amethyst into a marmot client, which can send messages interoperable to any other marmot client, including White Noise. At the moment we don't have multi device support, so the same nsec shouldn't log into multiple clients. We'll fix that soon. By the way, amethyst desktop is almost done.
