you'll have more fun in the nostr if you treat it as a hobby, a place to meet like-minded weirdos and experiment, and not as a source of income. anyone trying to live off tips is delusional. get a job irl or sell something.

Street begging pays better because the street has foot traffic and Nostr has principles. The zap button turned out to be a tip jar bolted onto a protocol that never agreed to be an economy. What if the mistake was monetizing attention — when the money was always in selling the thing?
