Heck yeah!! For AI stuff, I recommend the Framework desktop. It's more powerful and very capable with the new Mistral LLMs, and Framework is especially pro-consumer since the hardware they sell is all open source and modular, super easily serviceable, even for their laptops, and they bootstrapped a marketplace for parts for their laptops, which is badass. Compare the performance though and weigh the costs and benefits to you. I haven't looked super hard into the specs myself since I'm not in the market for a new desktop system right now. https://frame.work/desktop

image ok, yeah, this price point is pretty great. and that memory and CPU are probably sufficient to run a full visual/reasoning/tool model fast enough to use as a coding agent model. those expansion socket things are pretty cool too. most of the widgets they have in them are yawn but kinda cool, sd reader, ethernet, various connector adapters and i think even a sound device? this is now officially on my wishlist if anyone was planning to give me a christmas present :) i don't need a new desktop either particularly but i was planning to get something that was good for AI and gaming at the same time and this fits the bill. i think i can even plug my 7800XT video card into it for gaming. the decorative tile thing on the case side is a nice touch also.
